Administrative Services

The Treasurer acts as the central bank for all state agencies, receipting and posting virtually all monies that flow to and from the Arizona State Government. The Treasurer is also the custodian for approximately $2.5 billion in pledged securities.

The Treasurer has administrative responsibility for various state/local, federal/state, and federal/local intergovernmental revenue sharing programs. These include the distribution of Local Transportation Assistance Fund (LTAF) monies, Criminal Justice Enhancement Fund (CJEF) monies, Shared Transaction Privilege Tax collections, state assistance to local school districts, Urban Revenue Sharing Fund monies, Federal Taylor Grazing Fund monies, mineral leasing revenues, national forest revenues, Boulder Dam revenues, and the state share of the Justice of the Peace salaries (38.5%).
