Revenue Distributions

The State Treasurer is responsible for the timely and accurate distribution and transfer of funds to numerous state agencies, municipal governments, school districts and other organizations. Monies distributed include: local tax revenues collected by the Department of Revenue; state revenues shared with municipal governments; monies appropriated by the Legislature for school, community college and university funding; and federal pass-through monies.

The Treasurer relies upon statutory authority to distribute these funds. The statutory reference for distributions specify the recipients, amounts and timing of distributions. For distributions that require calculations, The State Treasurer relies upon the calculations provided by the state agency responsible for the funds.
