Investment Accounting
The State Treasurer accounts for all investment portfolio transactions using an automated investment accounting/portfolio management system provided by a private concern. Investment holdings and activity reports are generated daily to analyze the Treasurer's cash positions. Investments are marked (valued) at fair value monthly. Staff has the ability to access security holdings information through online real-time queries. The Investment Accounting Division is responsible for submitting a monthly report to the State Board of Investment and for continuous review of investment activity for compliance with Arizona Revised Statutes and internal investment policy.
