“Arizona has a proud history as a land of natural beauty and rugged individualism,” Treasurer Dean Martin said. “Designs 1, 2 & 3 all would make great quarters; but as the Grand Canyon State, we should have the Grand Canyon on our quarter.  My recommendation will be for design number 2; it represents the grand diversity of Arizona’s landscape.”

Treasurer Dean Martin continued. “It was only fitting to ask the public for their input on Arizona’s official quarter design, and I appreciate their participation.”

The Treasurer’s Office was the first to allow online public voting on the new Arizona Quarter design beginning March 29th.  Treasurer Dean Martin will present his recommendation and the results received from the Treasurer’s Office website at the State Quarter Commission’s public meeting this afternoon.

The Arizona Commemorative State Quarter

The Arizona State Quarter will debut in May of 2008.  The US Mint has produced five designs for Arizona's state quarter, one of which will become the Arizona Commemorative State Quarter.  The State Treasurer serves on the Arizona Quarter Commission that will recommend the final design to the Governor for selection.  Please review the results below.
